Evonik opens new office in Bangladesh

Evonik inaugurated its new office in Bangladesh on January 23, 2019 to further strengthen its local presence in the fast developing South Asia market. The new office is located in Dhaka, the country’s capital and largest city.

Evonik, one of the world leaders in specialty chemicals, inaugurated its new office in Bangladesh today to further strengthen its local presence in the fast developing South Asia market. The new office is located in Dhaka, the country’s capital and largest city.

Evonik has been operating in Bangladesh for more than 10 years, supplying its global portfolio of products and solutions to customers, mainly in the poultry feed and textile industries. Furthermore, Evonik is also focused on pharmaceutical and paint and coating applications.

“We have a long-standing engagement with Bangladesh and given the positive economic trajectory here in recent years, we believe this is the right time for us to explore greater opportunities for growth with a strong local support,” said Peter Meinshausen, Regional President of Evonik Asia Pacific South during the opening ceremony.

The strategic location of premises in Dhaka will also allow Evonik to introduce additional products and strategically expand its capabilities in other growth sectors.

“As we continue to build scale in this part of the region, we will also focus on establishing long-term relationships with our customers by leveraging on our understanding of the Bangladesh market, global trends, as well as our deep expertise in the specialty chemicals industry,” Meinshausen added.
